IT Support and Field Service Technician

Qualifying candidates should have strong problem-solving skills, desire to constantly learn new technologies, and the ability to time-shift and manage many different service tickets simultaneously. Your primary job is to support customers via phone, email and in person so customer service skills are necessary. You will need to work well as a member of a team that provides remote and onsite support in the areas of cloud services, servers, endpoints, software applications, network infrastructure, telephony, and other technology related issues.

While onsite a technician is responsible for helping clients install, repair, and maintain equipment. They are responsible for showing customers how to use their equipment, troubleshooting the equipment, advising the customer on how to use the equipment, building relationships with customers, and following company procedures.

Candidate should be able to handle a fast paced work environment and be able to quickly prioritize the needs of many customers simultaneously. Candidate must be willing and capable of learning on the job and working with new technologies regularly.

Candidate needs to have a valid driver license.

Candidate must have 2-5 years of on-the-job, working experience in the IT support field and should be familiar supporting the following:

 

· All Microsoft desktops and server platforms

· All Microsoft Office Suites

· Managing multiple tenants in Office 365 environments

· Backup and Endpoint Protection

· Line of Business Applications

· Administration of network routing, switching, firewall and various network protocols.

· Managing users and computers within active directory

· Group Policy Management

· Monitor, manage, and resolve system errors and performance issues.

· Interface directly with hardware and software providers
